The scope of David’s 20 years in the field encompasses a wide range of bioregions, project types, and professional services, from master planning large sites for mixed use to residential design. In addition to project experience in the Southwest, Midwest, and East and West coasts of the U.S., he brings an expertise in many climates and bioregions around the world including the Middle East, East Asia and Southeast Asia.
David’s portfolio includes urban and suburban campuses, incorporating brownfield and greenfield sites, commercial and residential developments, institutional projects and municipal/public improvements projects. Within these projects, he often focuses on sustainable design and smart growth. His master planning expertise includes a 200-acre suburban office campus for the Sprint World Headquarters near Kansas City that incorporated a large pond to receive all run-off and provided a central source for all irrigation throughout the campus; project management for landscape architecture for the Santa Fe Railyards Masterplan in collaboration with Design Workshop; and lead project design for all sitework on a 130 acre site for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency New Campus East (NGA-NCE), a LEED Silver project in Virginia.

David holds a Masters of Landscape Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History with a focus in Architectural History from The Pennsylvania State University. David’s career incorporates time and energy dedicated to community organizations related to urban and landscape design, including the Community Design Collaborative, which provides pro bono design services to nonprofits. In Philadelphia, he was the Horticulture Chairman for the prestigious Philadelphia Flower Show. David is an active member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and the Urban Land Institute. He is a registered landscape architect in nine states.
