Amanda Santoro MLA
Designer

As a designer for Hoerr Schaudt’s Kansas City location, Amanda integrates her love of nature and fascination with human behavior to create outdoor spaces that evoke emotional and physical connections. From Wichita, Kansas to Kansas State University, Amanda’s journey led her to discover the many faces of landscape architecture, from small site details to master plans. She went on to receive a Master of Landscape Architecture from KSU, spending her final year at the Kansas City Design Center. She is the 1st Prize National Winner of the EPA rain-works Challenge 2013, and the winner of the ASLA Central States Merit Award 2014.

While she admittedly enjoys working on almost any type of project, Amanda is most passionate about projects that push the limits of design and provide myriad social, environmental, and economic benefits to those inhabiting them. When she is not designing, Amanda enjoys spending time with her golden retrievers, crafting, cooking, and reading in her hammock.
