Designer

Qing Li brings an enthusiastic artistry to every project she takes on. With a passion for painting and photography, landscape design is a natural fit for her creative eye. Qing loves exploring undeveloped and underutilized spaces in cities, and envisioning how these spaces can transform into a shared public space. It’s the reason she became a landscape designer: to bring humanity and care into cities by molding the urban experience into spatial poetry.

Qing received a Bachelor of Arts in Art and Design from Beijing University of Technology, and went on to earn a Master of Landscape Architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design. In her spare time, she likes to enjoy the many walkable areas of Kansas City, taking in the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and the River Market’s Fresh Market Street Car — she’s a self-proclaimed foodie, for sure. Qing also makes time to paint, especially oil paintings of figures, textures, and abstract art.
