Hoerr Schaudt is seeking a highly creative, detail-oriented individual to create compelling communications that support content marketing and business development pursuits. The ideal candidate will have a passion for marketing and be able to generate engaging and refined content and collateral within a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment. The Marketing & Communication Specialist reports to the Director of Marketing & Business Development.

Role description

  • Lead coordination and manage the pursuit process from beginning to end
  • Work with principals and senior staff to create, write, and produce proposals, presentations, statement of qualifications and other marketing collateral in alignment with our new brand standards
  • Manage and maintain materials library of proposals, resumes, project descriptions, and boilerplate content to ensure that it’s up to date and accurate.
  • Manage, produce and post content to social media platforms
  • Provide support for the drafting, editing and/or pitching of written collateral, such as press releases, pitches, emails, one-pagers, thought leadership, etc.
  • Tracks media coverage and engagement on digital platforms to deliver key performance indicators to Director of Marketing and senior leaders
  • Ensure consistency, quality and usage of best practices in all communications
  • Update and maintain content calendar
  • Write content and update the firm’s website on an as needed basis
  • Support the creation, content and publication of internal newsletters
  • Assist with coordination of project photography and maintain image library
  • Assist in research of markets and clients

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations preferably in the design industry
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism or related field. In addition, graphic design experience would be desirable
  • Be a talented writer and storyteller with the ability to gather information from various sources to craft cohesive and compelling narratives
  • Have a love for content marketing and a passion for developing fresh and creative approaches to conveying information
  • Strong visual and storytelling abilities that would be used to develop marketing collateral and presentations
  • Ability to tell our story and share our work in compelling and engaging ways
  • Experience managing social media platforms
  • Experience working independently, as well as within cross-functional teams and leaders of the firm in a collaborative, professional environment
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects with minimal supervision, meeting deadlines and working well under pressure, while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience in CRM software a plus
  • Thrives in a multi-tasking, deadline-driven, fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail, prioritization, time management and organization skills
