Austin boasts a diverse background steeped in various landscape-centric industries—from crushing grapes at a Sonoma winery to creating holiday light displays on Chicago’s North Shore. His passion for plants was sparked during an intro to horticulture class in college, where his knack for math and science found a perfect match in hands-on exploration. This journey solidified while working at a landscape firm, where Austin developed a profound interest in native landscapes teeming with wildlife. As part of Hoerr Schaudt’s Continued Landscape Management group, Austin seamlessly intertwines his skillset with client communication, seasonal garden walks, project design, vendor coordination, and more.

Beyond the greenery, he finds joy in playing and coaching water polo, exploring art museums, biking along the lakefront, and attending countless White Sox games.
