Cecelia Liu

Cecelia Liu is joining us as an intern at our Kansas City office, currently pursuing her Master of Landscape Architecture at Harvard Graduate School of Design after completing an undergraduate degree at UCL Bartlett School of Architecture in London. Originally from Melbourne, Australia, she was drawn to Kansas City for its vibrant arts and sports scene, as well as her personal connections to the area. Cecelia is passionate about designing landscapes that are both ecologically responsive and socially meaningful, with a particular interest in how planting, water, and material strategies can create inclusive public spaces. She's fascinated by how landscapes hold memories and shape belonging, viewing landscape architecture as a medium to engage with time, place, and meaning on both intimate and urban scales.  

When she's not working, Cecelia is always on the lookout for the best food in every city she travels to, enjoys skiing and golf whenever she gets the chance, and is an avid fan of detective shows, particularly the renowned Sherlock Holmes series.
