Kate was first inspired to pursue landscape architecture because of her love for plants and the planet. Through trial and error maintaining plants as a kid, she became a self-taught green thumb and is now the proud owner of over 100 houseplants, including a rare favorite, her Florida Ghost Philodendron. Later on, she spent a week volunteering as a counselor at a muscular dystrophy camp which sparked her passion for inclusive design. Today, she’s thrilled to be helping design a world that everyone can use.
In her free time, you’ll find Kate spending time with her dog, gardening, and camping. Her love for the outdoors has extended beyond her career and strongly influences her travels: she recently spent time in Bonaire completing a scuba certification and diving around the coral farms that will restore the island’s reefs. Next up, she plans to work her way through visiting every National Park.
