Kent's background includes 3 ½ years immersed in architecture before moving into an engineering major and profession. While his 25-year career has been spent primarily leading engineering and operations groups in various industries, he's long dreamt of bringing his engineering, operations, and technology expertise to a leadership role within the creative space. As Studio Director of our Kansas City office, it's safe to say Kent and this role are a perfect match! He'll be the first to admit it sounds cliché, but he hit his stride when he realized his greatest passion lies in helping a group come together to think creatively about what they're ultimately trying to accomplish for clients—to find ways to execute more consistently and efficiently while having fun along the way.
During his time at K-State, Kent excelled not only in the Architecture and Engineering programs but also on the playing field where he spent four years playing varsity football for the NCAA Division I Wildcats. A man of many talents, Kent's roster of skills also includes a knack for fixing old radios, being a licensed private pilot, sketching and creating digital art, and filleting a walleye in nothing flat. From growing up running a fishing camp in Ontario to working in isolated Siberian steel mill cities to meandering through Alaska on an unplanned family road trip, he has an endless array of stories to share.
