A former farm-boy, Mark grew up in rural northeast Iowa, where he developed a strong kinship with the land. Resolute on continuing his relationship with the earth, its soil, and plants, Mark became a landscape architect, and dedicated himself to a career of environmentalism.

With nearly two decades of experience, Mark’s pragmatism and well-roundedness inform his management style, enabling him to carry out projects swiftly and efficiently no matter the size or capacity.

When he is not in the office, Mark’s propensity for fixing things extends to various home renovations and fixing his children’s toys. He also enjoys spending time with his family, exploring new bike trails, and anything that involves food.
