Education
Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, Ball State University
Mia’s passion for landscape architecture grew from the idea of “painting with plants,” a concept that sparked her imagination during her studies at Ball State University. This inspired her to explore the many ways landscape architecture can be applied. After college, she spent three years in Dallas, where she took interest local prairie ecologies and their endangerment. Not only applying this knowledge to her work in landscape architecture, but also inspired her continued education in soil health & restoration. Mia eventually returned to the Midwest to be closer to family, especially as she embraced her new role as Aunt Mia!
In her free time, Mia enjoys outdoor adventures —walking with her dog, birding, identifying plants, running, and exploring the urban landscape, whether she’s exploring Montrose Harbor or simply enjoying the fresh air.
