Mia loves how landscape architecture is a blend of art and science, and is continuously impressed by the impact it has on both people and environment. She has always loved outdoor public places that help people feel connected to their communities, and now, as a designer, has the capacity to help facilitate these experiences. A descendent of the frigid land of Minnesota, Mia will experience only slight winter relief in Chicago, but that’s okay, because the city’s energy and opportunity is what she’s here for. Chicago’s vast public green spaces will be more than enough to keep her adventurous spirit satiated, though hold the roller coasters, please: Mia has never been on one, and doesn’t plan on that changing anytime soon.
