Shawn loves the details – the more, the better – celebrating when projects involve intricate masonry, wood, and metal-work. He enjoys working with a range of artisans, architects, and designers, and relishes the ability to touch every part of the process, participating in design decisions, while also giving input on pricing, materials, and planting selections. In tune with both the design intent as well as the tangible construction implications, Shawn works with contractors to accurately implement the client’s vision, generating improvements along the way.

Owing his career in landscape architecture to a high school job fair that he skipped class to attend, Shawn is continually amazed by the ever-evolving nature of landscape design, and takes pride in seeing designs grow richer and more beautiful with time.
