After several years gardening and farming, Trevor returned to school for his master’s degree and sought a way to meld together his interests in environmental science, cultural ecology, horticulture, and design. His love for landscape architecture stems from its multifaceted and transdisciplinary nature, allowing practitioners to work in many different capacities across projects of all types and scales. Beginning his career on the installation and maintenance side of things, Trevor discovered an affinity for the long-term care of landscapes. At Hoerr Schaudt, he works with our Continued Landscape Management (CLM) team to ensure the ongoing success of built work and to revisit sites to improve upon what’s there.

After spending most of his life in Virginia and longing to experience living in a big city, Trevor landed in Chicago, which he loves exploring on foot or by bike. When he’s not listening to a favorite podcast while riding the ‘L’ or rambling through the city’s extensive parks system, you can find him in the kitchen—his happy place—testing new recipes and communing with friends and family over good food.
