With a desire to do meaningful work, Xiaoqian feels especially exhilarated when her designs incite feelings of connection or inspiration within people. Born and raised in Lanzhou, China, she feels at home in the similarly bustling city of Chicago, and enjoys the many opportunities there are for learning and research.
When she is not at the office, Xiaoqian enjoys exploring new places and practicing her photography skills, as well as painting and trying new restaurants. She received a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Nanjing Forestry University and a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
