General Manager, Summerfield Trading LLC

Summerfield Trading LLC has been in business since 2016 but is still in its infancy; growth is the focus and goal. This role/position is responsible for setting and leading the strategy, allocating resources, short and long term growth and improvements, improving efficiency, and increasing profits while also managing the company's overall operations and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a business plan to achieve the vision set by the Leadership Team.
  • Create organizational strategy and outcomes through clarity, communication, and consistency while removing obstacles and barriers
  • Educate the future sales team that will be responsible for growth and profitability
  • Ability to influence, listen and communicate are critical.
  • Hire and train team members; hold them accountable to their responsibilities
  • Oversee Product, Sales, Support, and Business Development
  • Collaborate with leadership team to identify opportunities to expand customer base
  • Identify new opportunities, product lines and vendors in order to increase offerings and further support clients’ needs
  • Maintain relationships with existing vendors and promote expansion of those relationships and product lines
  • Build and maintain a positive relationship with sister organizations and companies
  • Drive P&L Results – staying on forecast and driving profitability
  • Provide the cadence, voice and face for the company
  • Review and refine all processes and systems, including efficiencies, workflows, and documentation to be followed by all
  • Be the Point Person for company goals and execution
  • Provide coaching for improved performance
  • Assist in developing appropriate scorecards and metrics for each role
  • Assist in the creation of company roles and job descriptions based on clear performance metrics
  • Lead weekly team leadership meeting
  • Actively participate in corporate leadership and planning sessions

Qualifications

  • Experience building processes and isn’t afraid to get involved in the details.
  • Experience with a rapidly growing organization
  • Experience with buying and selling products and sales support
  • Previous P&L management
  • Green industry experience desired
  • E-retail experience is also a plus
  • Sales/experience building high performance teams
  • Experience developing and executing a business plan
