Growing up surrounded by Virginia's lush forests, apple orchards, and the serene Shenandoah River, Amanda developed an early appreciation for the state's natural beauty. Now living in the charming city of Richmond, she deepens this bond through her career in landscape architecture, a profession that she admires for its ability to strengthen the relationship between people and their environment. Previously, Amanda contributed to designing community amenities and urban streetscapes in Richmond and the surrounding counties. Amanda's passion for creating garden spaces that spark moments of joy brought her to her current position as Designer II at Hoerr Schaudt.
Outside of her design work, Amanda can be found playing basketball, sketching at the VMFA, and immersing herself in the zany novels of her current favorite author, Haruki Murakami.
