Raised in Northern Virginia, Fiona Maguire discovered landscape architecture through her longstanding interests in ecology and design. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from Purdue University, where her academic work introduced her to green infrastructure and reinforced her passion for ecologically driven design. During her time at Purdue, Fiona completed a year-long co-op internship in Orlando, Florida, gaining hands-on experience that further solidified her interest in the profession.
After graduation, Fiona moved to Chicago to begin her career and experience life in a larger city. She is particularly interested in creating landscapes that connect people to their environment through thoughtful, ecologically functional design. Prior to joining Hoerr Schaudt, Fiona gained experience working with nurseries and landscape contractors, including time spent at a tree nursery in rural Virginia learning about the cultivation and care of specimen trees.
Outside of work, Fiona enjoys exploring Chicago, trying new restaurants, and spending time with friends.
