What Gabriele loves most about accounting: how it enables her to work with almost all employees. She finds that this way, she has a better understanding of the company from learning about all of its constituent departments. To work with numbers on a daily basis was not, however, Gabriele’s initial career choice. She went to school for urban planning, and developed an affinity for cities that remains with her today. In fact, one of her favorite pastimes is traveling to new cities, and biking around exploring all of the different neighborhoods. No stranger to exploration, Gabriele has traveled all over the world, starting in her hometown of Bremen, Germany, moving to Berlin, New Zealand, and eventually, Chicago, where she enjoys the unlimited access to the lakefront.
