Hayden has always had a strong affinity for plants and the natural world around him but finds rigor in what makes other people respond to it. Bringing together a love of plants and a passion for thoughtful design provides his foundation for connecting people to well thought out planting schemes or sharing local ecologies. The beginning of Hayden’s horticultural experience started in the soil rather than the classroom where he gained knowledge working side-by-side with mentors at Fernwood Botanical Garden ultimately leading him to landscape architecture.

With roots in Chicago, Hayden is a graduate of Illinois Institute of Technology, where he received his Bachelor of Architecture. When not fully immersed in plants, you can find him antiquing for furniture, channeling his inner Martha Stewart, or appreciating Chicago’s amazing architecture.
