Heather is a Senior Associate whose approach to landscape architecture is shaped by a lifelong blend of creativity, curiosity, and a love for cities. She grew up in the countryside of Dixon, Illinois, in a musical family where band and theater were central to her formative years. After earning her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign, she moved to New York City and spent five years working on public projects that deepened her appreciation for urban energy and collective life. She returned to Chicago in 2019 to be closer to family and has since continued to shape public and commercial spaces with thoughtful, resilient design. Heather was introduced to landscape architecture by a freshman-year art professor, and she remains driven by the problem solving, coordination, and creative opportunities that come with bringing new places to life.
Professionally, Heather is passionate about creating graceful design solutions that balance beauty, resilience, and accessibility. She has nearly fourteen years of experience in the field and volunteers as a graphic designer on the IL-ASLA communications committee. Outside of work, she loves traveling, making pottery, and swimming.
