Jake Agema
Associate IV

Jake’s connection to the landscape industry began early. Growing up in Frankfort, Illinois, he watched his father run a small landscape company, managed his own lawn route, and worked at a garden center. He later earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communications and Color Theory from the Illinois Institute of Art and began his career as an exhibit graphic designer at the Museum of Science and Industry. Inspired by Chicago’s changing boulevards and landscapes, he eventually returned to the industry that had been part of his life since childhood.

With more than twenty years of professional experience, Jake has worked as a business owner and operational leader. Before joining Hoerr Schaudt, he led SavATree’s Northbrook office, overseeing the daily operations of a 40-person team. He is passionate about quality work and the meaningful experiences it can create.

Outside of work, Jake’s time is centered around his family. He enjoys supporting his children as they pursue their own interests and hopes to one day hike all of Colorado’s fourteeners.
