Jocseline Medina
Designer I

Jocseline’s passion for landscape architecture is rooted in a belief that thoughtful design can create healthy, beautiful, and resilient places for everyone. After earning her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Texas Tech University, she joined Hoerr Schaudt as a Designer I, bringing a strong commitment to inclusive, people-centered design. Through her academic work, internships, and leadership involvement with the American Society of Landscape Architects, Jocseline developed a passion for creating spaces that foster connection, strengthen communities, and improve quality of life.

One of the most meaningful experiences of her early career was visiting the opening of an inclusive playground she helped design during an internship in Boston. Seeing children of all abilities play together reinforced her belief that landscape architecture has the power to create environments where everyone feels welcome. Jocseline is especially interested in designing for diverse and often overlooked populations and is passionate about helping others better understand the value of landscape architecture in everyday life.

Originally from the Houston suburbs, Jocseline relocated to Chicago after graduating from Texas Tech University, drawn by the city’s energy, diversity, and rich design culture. She is excited to continue growing as a designer while contributing to projects that create lasting, positive impacts on communities.
