Jose Tenorio

Born in Guanajuato, Mexico, and raised in the North Shore of Chicago, Jose has been immersed in all aspects of landscaping through his family business and various internships. From an early age, he's had his boots on the ground—getting his hands dirty and imagining the possibilities within a landscape.

After studying on the East Coast and in St. Louis, Missouri, Jose knew he wanted to be close to home, near his family, and work in the Chicagoland area. His father has always been a big inspiration—hardworking and endlessly curious—encouraging him to approach landscape architecture with diligence. The profession feeds Jose's passion for orchestrating multiple parts into beautiful compositions, finding deep satisfaction in watching complex ideas transform into lived-in realities that grow, change, and are lived in throughout the years.

In his free time, Jose enjoys bike rides on Sheridan Road, trying out new burger joints, and always stopping to admire detailed masonry wherever he may be.
