Kaitlyn Vreeken
Designer II

Kaitlyn has always been a “plant lady” looking for the next adventure. When searching for a new direction to take her love for plants beyond her small business, she was introduced to planting design, which equipped her with a new vocabulary and led her into the larger world of landscape architecture—she’s been hooked ever since! Kaitlyn is most curious about introducing nature and resiliency into urban spaces. Utilizing plants and design to address issues like stormwater management and urban flooding originally drew her to the field. On a day-to-day basis, she loves to render and finds the process of creating graphics therapeutic.

When she’s not reading or watching a scary movie, you’ll find Kaitlyn planning her next big trip. After undergrad, she got her TEFL license and moved to Spain for a year, where she spent most of her time teaching English in Zaragoza and backpacking solo through Andalusia—the best trip she has ever been on (so far).
