Nick is a natural organizer and savors the process of converting chaos to order. With his strong background in project coordination, he functions like the spoke of a wheel, providing a sturdy center around which his team members and subconsultants can operate. A process-driven designer, Nick enjoys every stage of a project’s development, and happily carries complex designs across the finish line, from concept and budgeting to team communication. Nothing, however, is quite as satisfying to him as seeing designs go from paper to reality; in addition to witnessing his clients using, enjoying, and growing in their outdoor spaces.

His responsibilities include concept design, site planning, guiding projects through permit processes, and managing schedule and budgets for projects from early design through construction observation. His excellent technical skills and ability to manage projects efficiently translate into cost effective and timely projects for the firm’s clients. Nick has led significant projects at the firm, including Baltimore Peninsula, a multi-use development that is one of the largest urban revitalizations currently underway in the world, with over 40 acres of parks and green space. His other projects include the World Food Prize Foundation Garden, a 60-acre residential property in Rhode Island, and a 16-acre landscape restoration at a historic residence by Howard van Doren Shaw.
