As Partner and Head of Design Operations, Nick Fobes brings more than two decades of experience leading projects where design excellence and operational precision meet. He oversees some of Hoerr Schaudt’s most complex landscapes, guiding them from early vision through construction to ensure that creativity and craftsmanship remain in balance at every stage.

Nick is driven by the relationships at the heart of each project. He sees design as a shared journey - one rooted in collaboration, curiosity, and the pursuit of enduring beauty. His approach helps clients uncover new possibilities within the design process, shaping landscapes that express both personal vision and a deep connection to place.

Nick’s portfolio spans transformative urban projects, historic restorations, and private estates, including the revitalization of Baltimore’s Inner Harbor, the restoration of a Howard Van Doren Shaw estate, and the design of multiple historic properties in Newport, Rhode Island, and throughout the Northeast. Known for his ability to unite design intent with technical delivery, Nick brings clarity and focus to complex challenges, resulting in landscapes that are as thoughtful as they are timeless.
