Patrick's formative years in Huntley, Illinois were spent between working on farms and witnessing his father's factory operations firsthand. This immersion in rural life allowed him to learn the craft of making and growing, a skill that would later define his career in landscape architecture. After earning a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture at Ball State University and completing the Master of Landscape Architecture program at the University of Illinois, Patrick paved his way working for leading firms throughout the city. Hoerr Schaudt is pleased to welcome back Patrick, a seasoned professional, who brings over 26 years of experience and proven expertise in establishing, growing, and coaching construction-focused teams. 

As Senior Project and Studio Director for Siteworks at Hoerr Schaudt, he remains dedicated to quality work and overcoming challenges with his team, with special emphasis on the technical and construction aspects of the profession. He also serves on CLARB's exam writing committee and is an active member of the Construction Specifications Institute, the Natural Stone Institute, and ASLA. In his free time, Patrick enjoys gardening, cooking, and 3D printing with his 6-year-old daughter, while also operating his foundation, Transcend, which provides scholarships and grants for landscape architecture students and professionals.
