Growing up in the Chicago suburbs, Richard spent a lot of time visiting the city and learning about its history and geography. With interest in both design and the environment, he found landscape architecture was the perfect field to merge and pursue his passions professionally. Upon completing his undergraduate degree in Indiana, he made his way to Chicago as quickly as possible, where he’s excited to continue developing his skills related to plants and the built environment. When he’s not focused on a design project, Richard is happiest when cooking, fishing, or working out. He dreams of the day when he can run a marathon in a national park and check it off the top of his bucket list.
