Sanjana Nair

With a background in architecture and a passion for ecological, human-centered design, Sanjana brings a multidisciplinary perspective to landscape architecture. Originally from Mumbai, her early experiences across theatre, interiors, and freelance design led her to discover how natural systems can shape space and tell meaningful stories. Influenced by formative visits to Kerala’s backwaters, her work reflects a strong connection to water, ecology, and the integration of landscape and architecture.

Now based in Chicago, Sanjana is driven to create landscapes that connect people and place through thoughtful design and community engagement.

Outside of work, she enjoys cooking and baking, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. She is also actively involved in community and professional initiatives, including ASLA and Depave Chicago.
